The Arcadia Baby Girl Hand-Smocked Set is an iconic two-piece silhouette, crafted from pure cotton that is machine washable, breathable and kind to even the most delicate skin, ensuring your baby girl keeps cool and comfortable all season long. The top's bodice is shirred across the waist and finished with intricate honeycomb smocking and contrasting embroidery across the empire line waist, which is completed by hand and can take up to seven hours per dress. Special details include the short capped sleeves, a long, floaty finish, and a charming layered velvet Peter Pan collar for a statement finish. The top fastens at the back with a signature mother of pearl button placket, and a self-tie bow, and is fully lined in pure cotton for extra comfort and coverage, and the matching bloomers are elasticated at the waist for fuss-free changing when out and about. This dress set features an exclusive print meticulously designed in-house at our Notting Hill studio. Inspired by vintage botanical illustrations, delicate floral motifs were first hand-rendered in fine detail before being digitally refined and printed in Spain in small runs of fabric. The result is a soft, painterly pattern in navy blue and soft lilac hues, perfectly complementing the feminine details.
