Heritage is at the heart of La Coqueta, with Founder and Creative Director Celia Muñoz's designs developing from her Spanish roots and the traditional clothing she grew up in. Known for rich embroideries and hand smocking, heavy collars, and decorative details, every collection manifests in elaborate yet elegant designs. The Arcadia Girl Hand-Smocked Dress is an iconic silhouette, crafted from pure cotton that is machine washable, breathable and kind to even the most delicate skin, ensuring your little girl keeps cool and comfortable all season long. The bodice is shirred across the waist and finished with intricate honeycomb smocking and contrasting embroidery across the empire line waist, which is completed by hand and can take up to seven hours per dress. Special details include the short capped sleeves and a long, floaty skirt, fully lined with pure cotton, and a charming layered velvet Peter Pan collar for a statement finish. This dress features an exclusive print meticulously designed in-house at our Notting Hill studio. Inspired by vintage botanical illustrations, delicate floral motifs were first hand-rendered in fine detail before being digitally refined and printed in Spain in small runs of fabric. The result is a soft, painterly pattern in navy blue and soft lilac hues, perfectly complementing the feminine details.
